ARCH Scan To BIM is a Germany-based BIM service specialising in transforming point clouds, laser scans and existing building information into accurate, structured digital models.

We work with ARCHitects, engineers, surveyors, contractors and building owners who need reliable digital information for renovation, refurbishment, planning, documentation and other building projects.

ARCH Scan To BIM was founded by Viral Vadaviya, an engineer with a background in software development, digital technologies and engineering applications.

His professional experience has involved working with complex technical systems and turning technical requirements into practical digital solutions. This combination of engineering and digital experience shaped the idea behind ARCH Scan To BIM.

The goal was to build a specialised service that brings together engineering understanding, BIM expertise and efficient digital workflows to make existing-building documentation and modelling more accessible and practical.

As the founder, Viral remains directly involved in understanding project requirements, defining the appropriate modelling approach and coordinating the delivery of projects with our network of experienced partners.

This allows ARCH Scan To BIM to remain flexible while providing access to a broader range of expertise when a project requires it.

What we believe

A good digital model starts with good information.

Existing buildings are often the most challenging part of a construction project. Drawings may be incomplete, outdated or simply not reflect the building as it exists today. Point clouds and other survey data can provide a much more reliable basis, but only when that information is converted into a well-structured and usable model.

We therefore focus on more than simply reproducing geometry.

We first try to understand how the model will actually be used. The required level of detail, modelling standards, file formats and project requirements are considered before the work begins.

Whether you need an existing-condition model, a detailed Revit model or 2D documentation, we aim to provide exactly what the project requires.

Useful information is better than unnecessary complexity.

What We Do

We offer end-to-end digital modeling solutions tailored to your project’s Level of Development (LOD 100 to LOD 400) and specific BIM execution plan (BEP).

Scan to BIM

We convert complex 3D laser scan point clouds (e.g., Leica, Faro, Riegl, Matterport) into high-detail Revit models. Whether for heritage restoration, complex MEP coordination, industrial plant upgrades, or commercial renovations, we deliver structured BIM geometry aligned with regional European standards.

Scan to CAD

For projects requiring classical 2D documentation, we extract comprehensive floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), and structural cross-sections directly from point cloud data into CAD formats (.dwg, .dxf).

PDF to BIM / 2D to 3D Conversion

We digitize legacy paper drawings, PDF blueprints, and hand-sketched archives into intelligent, parametric 3D BIM models ready for design development, clash detection, and quantity takeoff.

Architectural drawings, point clouds, building models and project documents can contain sensitive information. We therefore treat your project data with strict confidentiality and handle it only for the purpose of delivering the agreed service.
